Disc degeneration and MRI

MRI signs:

1-Normally, the disc appears hyper intense with homogenous pattern in T2 image due to its high content of water.

2-In case of degeneration, there is decrease in this density and loss due to loss of water.

3-Loss of height of the disc.

So, we have two signs for disc degeneration which are:
-Loss of height of the disc.
-Loss of hyper intensity of the disc.
